Sea Explorer is a steel sailing liveaboard built originally in 1984, it has an identical "twin sister" sailboat called Morning Star, they are both belongs to the Blackbeard's Cruises, both sailboats measuring 20m long and 6m wide.

Sea Explorer is a great choice for backpacker divers who wish to save on budget and hang out with other travelers. As it offers all-inclusive scuba diving liveaboard vacations at the budget price, it become very popular with outgoing individuals from all over the world!

The chef will provide three buffet meals a day, snacks and fresh fruits are 24hrs available. Most meals will be typical American cuisine. A selection of complimentary beverages is always on hand: from soft drinks, juices, to beer, wine and rum drinks - all of this will be provided at no extra cost.

Guests also can fishing during the cruise (ONLY outside of the marine parks), all the fishing gear is provided and our cook encourages it! Whatever we catch that is edible is cooked for guests or used for sushi!

Sea Explorer and its identical "twin sister" sailboat - Morning Star may be used interchangeably. In this case, we can take requests for specific berths, however, specific berths are not always guaranteed.

Cabin

Sea Explorer has 3 domitory-style air-conditioned cabin areas with 18 berths, it can accommodate up to 22 guests per trip :

There is no private accommodations, all berths are dormitory style, each berth has its own privacy curtain similar to a sleeperette on a train. There are some regular 110 volt household current outlets available.

There is a shelf at the end of each berth where you can store clothes and other personal items and a few hooks to hang your ditty bag on too.

8 Single Berths - Cabin Area 1 :
These are the single beds in bunk style, ideal for single travelers or a group of 4 to stay together.

4 Double Berths - Cabin Area 2 :
These are the double bed in bunk style, ideal for couples as they offer the most privacy.

6 Double Berths - Cabin Area 3 / Salon Area :
These are the double bed in bunk style, located in the main salon and galley area with the least privacy, it can be booked for couples or single travelers. For single traveler, these are the most spacious berths possible onboard.

Shared Bathrooms :
There are 4 manually pumped heads (toilets) and one shower equipped with both fresh and saltwater taps for all guests.

Pleast Note : Everyone cringes at the mention of a 30 second fresh water shower but it does warrant some explanation! There are two showerheads in the shower: one fresh and one salt. Saltwater use is unlimited so lather, shampoo, shave, etc. with the unlimited salt water and then use the 30 seconds of fresh water at the end to rinse. Bring your own towels-we recommend two- one for topside and one for showering.

船宿行程样本

About the Itinerary
Blackbeard’s Cruises offers liveaboard scuba diving adventures to the Out Islands of the Bahamas. There is no fixed schedule, it is an new adventure each week! The Captain will vary the itinerary to take advantage of the best weather and diving conditions.

The trips depart from Nassau will explore the Exuma Cays and Eleuthera of the central Bahamas. Dive the pristine waters of the Exumas Land and Sea Park and the walls of Eleuthera, the last night of the trip will be spent in Nassau where you can explore the big island with your new buddies! Dinner on Thursday is served on board at the dock.

Guests will be able to dive a large variety of dive sites: reefs, walls, high speed drift dives including the Washing Machine, night dives, blue holes and shark feeding dives are offered each trip, We offer 19 dives each trip.

Check in and Check Out Time
The dock gates open at noon on the first day of the trip, so please make travel arrangements that will allow you time to be there around noon to 2 pm at the absolute latest. We serve lunch, get you settled and have our safety briefing before we depart Nassau for the Exumas! Our plan is to depart the dock at 3pm but keep in mind that weather and other factors beyond our control may cause a delay.

All passengers disembark by 9 am on the last day. If you have a flight later in the day out of Nassau, you may leave your luggage in the lobby while you sightsee and return 3 hours prior to your flight’s departure to retrieve your bags. Your last dive is complete by early afternoon on the day before departure.

Get to the Dock
Taxis are readily available from the airport. The ride is approximately 30-40 minutes travel time from the airport to our docks. We are located at the Nassau Harbour Marina on East Bay Street. We are right across from the Starbucks! It is not that far mileage wise, but you only go around 25 miles per hour, slow down, Mon! You are on island time now ? If you would like us to make ground transfer arrangements for you, we can do so! The cost is 15.00 per person each way per leg. Please call our offices two weeks prior to do so.

Sailling and Seasick
The best time for sailing is from October to April, during the period from May to September there is normally very little wind and unable to sail. When possible, guest participation is welcomed by the crew. Motion sickness medication should be brought along in the event that we encounter rough seas. The boat will spend the night in calm anchorages and normally scuba diving will be done on the lee side of the islands. The best thing about a liveaboard diving vacation is that we can flex our schedule to go where the weather and conditions are best!

Space Onboard & Luggages
Space is limited on liveaboards and the islands we visit are very casual. Several bathing suits, shorts, long pants, several T-shirts, one shirt, and a windbreaker all packed in soft luggage. Deck shoes or sneakers, sandals, towels, suntan lotion (non-oil), sunglasses, and foul weather gear (pants and jacket) which is a necessity to keep dry from spray or rain. It will also keep you warm in case a cool front moves thru during your cruise. We have storage at our dock for any empty bags or any bags you won’t be needing.

Non-Divers
For the non-diver there is swimming, sun tanning, beach combing, fishing, snorkeling and just plain relaxing. If they are happy hanging out on a boat with other adventurous souls they will be fine!

Dive Guide / Solo Dive
We do not offer led dives on Blackbeard’s. The instructor on board will give you a very in depth briefing before each dive describing the conditions, the current, depth, and it will include a visual aide, so you can plan your dive and dive your plan! The instructor and/or staff will be in the water for all drift dives and the shark feed!

We don’t usually have an instructor in the water on each dive, but we have crewmembers that would be happy to act as guides when possible. Solo dive certification is required for those divers who wish to dive alone.

Spearfishing
Only lobster is allowed to hunt when in season. We follow Bahamian law which limits you to free diving only. No trigger and no tank! We have Hawaiian slings on board. The lobster season runs from August 1 until March 31. We can only hunt outside the park boundaries.
