Boat

Hatiku is a 38 meters long, 9.3 meters wide wooden Phinisi vessel. It is built from handpicked Teak and Iron Wood, in Kendari, South Sulawesi and given a modern makeover in design and facilities to make this one of the most comfortable and stylish liveaboards now operating in Indonesia.

Hatiku is a spacious vessel and has been finished with an attention to detail. Fitted out with all the latest safety, technical and entertainment equipment, it combines old world style with modern amenities to deliver a truly outstanding vessel to the discerning diver.

There are three large and spacious deck areas for the passenger to enjoy, the shaded stern deck with its large comfortable cushioned seating area is the perfect place to chill out between dives or watch the sun set with a cold drink.

The main deck, partially shaded, provides room to relax and lounge about, outdoor dining can be enjoyed on the large table in the centre. It is also serves as the dive deck, where each diver will find a dive station and storage for their personal dive gear.

There is a drying area for wet gear and rinse tanks. A fresh water shower and convenient toilet are also located at the front of this deck. At the stern of the boat a purpose built camera and briefing room can be found behind the wheel house. Two camera benches, each for 3 cameras have been built with all the necessary charging points and outlets.

Hatiku has a very large sun deck on the second level, supplied with bean bags and sun loungers is an ideal space for those wanting to lie out and enjoy the tropical paradise slip by.

Onboard, the meal is blend of Asian and Western cuisine giving you the best of both worlds. The fully stocked bar serves tea, coffee, soft and cold drinks throughout the day, beer wine and spirits in the evening.

Cabins

Hatiku has 6 beautiful air-conditioned cabins, it can accommodate up to 12 guests :

All cabins are equipped with individual A/C unit, an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water and plenty of storage under the bed.

4 Deluxe Twin Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, portholes.

2 Deluxe Double Cabins :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with a double bed, can be converted into twin beds, portholes.

Diving

• 3 dives per day + alternating additional night dives.

• No dive provided on the day of arrival and departure.

• 2 dives will be provided on the day before departure.

• All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

Diving

All levels of divers are welcome aboard, we will cater for your dive needs. However we recommend that for some dive areas Open Water Divers consider completing the Advanced Open Water either before joining the trip, or enquire with us before as to whether you can complete the Advanced while on the boat. Depending on your experience it may be necessary to employ an extra Dive Master to accompany you and this will come at an extra charge.

Our very experienced Cruise Manager and fully associated Dive Masters will safely guide you through the marvels of the underwater world, wherever in Indonesia you join our adventure.

A full dive brief is given to the divers beforehand at the stern of the boat, and then all their gear to be loaded onto the tenders to take 2 groups of 6 out to the dive site.

Once the dive is concluded the tenders return to the boat where the staff will rinse the gear, there is a separate rinse tank for the cameras.

The gear is hung up to dry between dives. Time to enjoy a snack and a cold drink, relax and get ready for the next.

Questions & Answers

1. What should i bring on a liveaboard ?
Pack light, although Hatiku is a 5 star boat, we don’t expect you to dress for dinner. Personal clothing such as a bathing suit, t-shirts, shorts, comfortable sweater or warm top, after 4 dives a day and with wind chill you can still feel cold in the tropics, light cotton trousers for cooler evenings, a hat or cap, sunglasses, flip flops and a sturdy pair of sandals or trainers for any land excursions, sunscreen and any personal cosmetics, medicines, batteries, photo films, spare parts, silicon grease, cigarettes, candy, magazines etc. A small torch/ flashlight will come in handy. We also have hairdryers available and each cabin has a range of Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Lotion and Hand Soap, to save you the time, trouble and baggage allowance for more important items.

2. Dive Equipment onboard ?
Although you are more than welcome to bring some or all of your own personal diving gear, the Hatiku has a complete, complimentary set of Aqualung diving gear for every guest, regs, BCD, wetsuits, mask and fins, we also supply every diver with a SMB, whistle and diver location system. Please advise us of your sizes on our Diver Information Guest Form, so that we can prepare everything for your arrival. We have dive computers and underwater lights available for rental for a nominal daily fee.

3. Dive Conditions ?
The Visibility is normally very good, but can vary from 5-40m, temperatures are between 24-28C, so a 3mm long should be fine for most divers, but if you are prone to the cold, consider bringing a hoody or hooded vest, you can also always borrow a 3mm shorty to go over your suit. Currents are one of the things that make the Indonesia diving so special and can vary, the dive team will always check the current prior to a dive.

4. Do you cater to photographers ?
The Hatiku has a camera room with a camera station for each cabin, each station has enough charging points and outlets for 2 cameras. There is a dedicated rinse tank for cameras. All divers on our vessels will benefit from a 6-1 diver to guide ratio.

5. What voltage and power outlets do you have ?
The Hatiku has 220v and 2 round pin sockets.

6. Pravite dive guide ?
Depending on your experience it may be necessary to employ an extra Dive Master to accompany you and this will come at an extra charge.

7. Arrival & Depature time ?
The boat will leave at approximately noon from either Bima, Labuan Bajo or Sorong, so it is preferable to book morning flights, she will return to the respective harbour either late, the last full day, or early on the last morning, and transfers to the airport will be after breakfast.
